Can't Live Without Butter-Flavored Popcorn?

You say you can't stand the idea of no butter-flavored popcorn?

If you are a habitual eater and your favorite comes out of those pre-purchased bags from the store which you pop yourself in a microwave, you just might want to re-think that idea. The problem here, no you're never going to find it on the ingredient label but it's known as diacetyl, the chemical which is placed in fake butter-flavored popcorn.

The problem though, diacetyl just happens to be a perfect match for the taste of butter. So many companies which manufacture butter-flavored finished goods know a chemical flavoring is so much cheaper and so much more shelf stable than using an actual dairy product for seasonings and flavorings.

But what isn't mentioned, continuous use (or continuous exposure) actually has the capabilities of leading you into a lifetime of future medical visits from its serious and damaging effects to your lungs.

There is an easy solution though - make your own right from your own home, just not with a pre-packed store bought bag. Grab one of those little brown bags (many people think of them as lunch sacks), pour 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels into it, fold over the top a couple of times and place it into your microwave. Cook it the same as you do those microwave bags and when finished, pour some melted raw butter from a clean organic dairy over the kernels and you now have a bowl of the real thing at less than 1/4 the cost.
